The soft cries of pops and whistles were what woke her, as the birds called out to each other, flapping away to make room for what was coming, the leaves trembling from both the strange gusts of wind and movement. The drafts whistled from above, finding ways through the thickly made bush the creature was sleeping underneath. Maybe, if she was just a regular human, she would have kept on sleeping through the “storm”, but no, those ears, which pulsed and tensed and finally cleared out to bring her from the quiet darkness to the world.

Ciymal was sprawled out in a comfortable position, both hands underneath the thick pillow of leaves she had made for herself, placed in the most covered section of the bush, while her feet were dug inside the dirt and legs badly covered with some large ferns. The wings, which were the young girl’s self-mark, were folded neatly above her back, while her bottom wriggled and legs curled up to her chest. The growing tail twitched slightly, the tip flicking in annoyance. The Minmin, on the other hand, injured—though healing, was sleeping peacefully in a nest of moss and leaves, and the creature had to make sure not to touch Erasmus.

She should have left by now, Ciymal knew, but the tiredness of sleep didn’t allow her, and the wings instinctively stretched, not fully though, but enough to make her wish to get out from underneath the bush. Eyes flicked open, thoughts gathering up and making her—well, her. The wildness in them glimmered, and in the corners, Ciymal felt the soul of the Dragon stir and open up to roar. A sharp movement of barrier, locked and tightened with stone and spells and melted metal was created in her mind, enclosing it in a box with the message of, ’Silence, danger.’ Which was only responded with the wail of ’Open up, then no danger.’

Already moving to the opening of the bush, using her elbows and knees to crawl head lowered, Ciymal stifled a snort, nostrils opening and taking in whiffs and scents of air. From the side, the little Minmin shifted and sneezed, causing the girl to glance back in surprising gentleness. The orbs widened to apple-sized looks as the smell was identified, and she took another move forward, peeking her head out of the hole, snarling softly as the crown touched the top of the bush. Erasmus peeked an eye open, glanced at his companion, and giggled, opening a wing and closing it again, still feeling rather weak. Still, friendy looked funny.

So, a dragon was here. A real one. Suddenly, the feel of danger was gone, and liftened spirits pushed the bickering and excited piece of soul back, and paled it against the walls, tossing darkness in to play with it. Ciymal felt a pang of regret. The poor dragon in her mind, she tortured it daily, made it worse. Oh well, that wasn’t really important today. Another scent got her confused and happy at the same time. A person, or angel, and while, ready to avoid people, they had a dragon, and it would bring some excitement. For some reason, her spirits were high.

Finally crawling out, Ciymal scowled and moved the rest of the way, bring herself to her knees, head lifting toward the sky, back arched, while the wings finally stretched out fully, glinting against the rays of the sun. Then the girl glance toward the Dark Angel and the Dragon, which were in view of her. ”Well? What are you looking at?” It was said in a snappy tone, but there was nothing truly harsh about it, just blunt and strong.

There were a multiple amount of emotions rushing through the dark angel, she observed, though the practice of reading thoughts were only open to dragons, considering the rest were too difficult to learn without a teacher. Hands were rubbing the grass of her sides, busy fixing up her appearance as it did everyday. So what if there were two creatures around? Why should it matter? This was her place for now, and leaving meant submitting to what was obviously the male’s wishes, and that wouldn’t be good for Erasmus anyway.

Thinking about the Minmin, Ciymal’s ears pricked, hearing the faint sounds of shuffling, and turned back to glance at the bush. The little dragon was busily trying to get to her and outside to greet the visitors. A high pitched and pleasant voice was said from Erasmus, directing telepathy in all their minds, ”Ell’o! There are more creatures here! Hi!”

The girl turned to look at the others and her Minmin at the same time, not bothering to hide an amused snort, rolling the eyes with annoyed affection. He was always more friendly and welcoming than she ever would be. There was a wobbly movement in Erasmus’s legs, still a bit shaky from the injury, though the lean body hid it well, and the serpent tail of his twitched every so often.

"At you obviously, or is the half dragon blind?"

Shrugging slightly, Ciymal chuckled and grinned. ”“Ah, touché.” Well, the female was pleased with her, and didn’t feel like dashing down her good moods. Turning to gaze at the dragon, a slight bow was made in that direction, her right leg going behind her and a bending in her knees proving that fact. ”Now, we haven’t seen many Dragons these days. I’m Ciymal, and he—“ A slightly head jerk was moved where the Dark Angel was standing, ”Has an attitude.” In was all said in good spirits, and was carefully measured to not seem rude or offending. And, since Ciymal felt like it, the other male couldn’t hear it. Yet, if the Dragon wanted to tell him, the girl couldn’t care less.

If the prodding of other’s minds was easier, there would be a lot to be offended by. At least, for this girl. No one seemed to really look and see her. It just didn’t happen, everything was passed off as a mistake, or focused only for the luring and shard of dragon soul that wished to shackle her in the confines of their mind and be the dominant view and creature. No one saw her for what she was. It seemed that way, it was that way.

Still, even catching the sudden understanding of the Dragon’s thoughts, Ciymal dipped her head and chuckled, hair waving in the wisps of wind that blew every so often, the bangs moving as a wave just above the eyes. Then again, why did no one think it was her that held the dragon, her ways of choosing. Her own personality which created that attitude that never faltered in its chosen choice.

Each step seemed uncomfortable, as Erasmus scrambled through the path of dead leaves to reach by his halfling, lean and toothy head poking up with a shy and cautious air of glee, curling a long and slithery tail around the girl’s foot and struggling to get up for comfortable seat upon it. Ciymal grinned and stifled a groan at the same time. It was hard not to be reminded of her huge feet.

The direct sense of smell was pleasant at this time, having a Dragon here made it feel…better.
~And not many dragon Halflings either- and yes, excuse him...His past still haunts him. What is the minmin's name child?~
Ciymal twisted her head to take in a look at the Dark Angel, eyes dark and unreadable. The depths were black, and tried to hold familiarity in them. ”Haunted Past, eh? She muttered telepathically to the Dragon, still watching the male. Sighing, the girl lifted a hand and put two fingers to her forehead, in a Pirate’s salute, and gave a nod. In all ways, it was made to be shown—in a way that she could relate. ”Hehe. Am I the first you saw?” A defiant flick of the hair, a titled crania, turned back to inspect the creature before her, watching the scales, so similar to the ones that padded her knees and elbows, glitter in the bright sunlight.

Now, upon hearing the question, Ciymal bent her knees to sit on a curtsey, while the leg that was currently occupied with the Minmin was a bit further. The lean and colorful head of the small creature had turned to watch her and all three of them at the same time, eyes wide and filled with curiosity, the tip twitching in what seemed suppressed excitement. A smirk flooded the girl’s face, and she gently nudged Erasmus and gave an encouraging nod.

”I-I’m Erasmus! Call me Eras!! Only Eras! Was the cherry and twinkling voice to come out, the head stretching out and the tail unwinding from Ciymal’s leg, a small jump toward the dragon, wings preening. The girl’s own wings had begun to itch, and the eyes closed, feeling those parts on her back as easily one would move a finger, carefully, they spread, a wonderful dark rust color, that gleamed with a steel type look. Bringing them up like bat wings, creating both a shade for herself and Erasmus, and a smug look had to be sent toward the Dark Angel, all the while teasing.

”Let’s see your wings then, Dark.” Ciymal said, tossing a look and a movement of the head toward the male, eying him cynically. A fight she would give, but right now, and for the sake of the dragon and forced politeness.

“Sure I would. I asked, didn’t I?” It was followed by a snicker –lifted eyebrow

It was a powerful length, her own; dark and gleaming rust-red wings, that nearly matched the others. A foot behind the size of dozen, there was nothing to be ashamed in with having them at 11. Still Ciymal heard the exasperated and annoyed sigh and sudden tumbled against the mind wall the dragon made, acting rather furious, putting in claw by claw and pulling it down with such slowness. It was a wonder, truly, that the others could not hear the pounding headache she was getting now. Stretch the wings, yeah. What did that piece of soul know about it? Not like it ever been in free domain, and the girl was almost forced to shiver at the idea.

Without knowing it, and as Ciymal looked up, her posture a shock to be seen. It was half bended, the wings arched in a protective fashion, the glistening color dark and powerful, almost successfully blocking her face, in which a hand was pressed against the forehead. The girl almost chuckled, beginning a slight shake of the cranium was credit her appearance, watching through half-lidded orbs. Closing them, all while taking pride in the darkness, the muscles worked to slightly bend the wings, the tips of them lowering down to touch the sand with profound ease.

Ciymal laughed sheepishly, moving the hand from her forehead to rub the space at the back of her neck, just below where the hair line ended. The optics—before being slightly smaller than usual, had finally widened to their full degree, the pressure on the lids hard enough to do that. From there, where the pupil sank into the seemingly green abyss, was the soul of the dragon shard. This was all tiring, and the girl could feel the glares directed toward her—even with there being only two other creature who hadn’t experienced it.
Erasmus had already crawled up her leg, resting nervously at the hip, tail flicked out to grab at her other hand, which was hidden behind the back.

Always like this, each time her guard was more relaxed and pleasant. It was a smart move, and one that happened repeatedly, until being completely at ease wasn’t smart.
”Sorry about that,” Ciymal began, turning to cast a approving eye of the male’s own wings, a half-smile formed—if only to try and forget the past happening. Her posture hadn’t meant to change, but the amazement of meeting another dragon after so long must have formed a weak spot. Directing the comment toward him, ”And don’t you think that act was from seeing your wings. Impressive, though.” The tone was defiantly nicer, and was slightly tired.

Turning to face the Dragon, Ciymal sighed, glancing up, ”The dragon. The piece of soul that somehow…got into me, it keeps trying to break free. If that happens, well. Nothing good.” Too much information already, and just a minute later the female noticed she had forgotten to speak telepathically.

At the sudden revelation, which hit her as soon as the words passed from her mouth—Ciymal wished to be able to take them back. To stretch her arms out and grab those syllables before they were heard, mingling with the breeze that shook the leaves of her previous sleeping place. She was thankful for the rustling noise that the bushes made at the sudden burst of air, and kindly turned around to glance at it and her Minmin—Erasmus, who returned the glance with huge, curious eyes, gleaming ever so gently at her. Picking up a hand to cough into distractedly, scowling to herself for letting that piece of information slip, and her sudden worry of caring that she had. Now, this was just annoying.

Glancing up to see the male grin up at his Dragon, a hot flash of anger making her fists clench in annoyance, almost urging her to go ahead and impress the two with a display of fire. Ha! That’ll teach him something, and –from whatever empathy she got from telepathy, it might have lowered her good spirits; not that they were particularly good now, but why care? Ciymal would have sighed and shrugged, if not feeling the sudden judging weight of the other’s eyes glaring back at her.

"And here I thought you were keeping some major secret from me."

Mimicking him, Ciymal dared to roll her eyes and scoff—only slightly lowering her gaze when Erasmus moved forward to sniff at the other’s foot. That, on the other hand, pronounced a chuckle, and she relaxed. ”Oh dear, sarcasm doesn’t really suit you, does it?” There, a perfect comeback. Honestly, this guy had no sense left in him, ” Or do you just like pointing out the obvious much?” The girl snapped back, her attitude getting the better of her—though meeting his eyes would do no good for him, nor her, once one dwells on it. The eyes were the most painful experience, Ciymal remembered over hearing Burton; a pirate, over say to his shipmates.

Now, she could hardly not say something as the male took off, though her optics followed him until he sat down on the dragon, and then smirked, ”Not leaving so soon, are you?” Oh come on, this was just too easy. It was odd, to be this vocal, but Ciymal wasn’t planning to go ahead and make an ‘excellent’ impression on him, so there.

”'Don't worry halfling- you've done nothing wrong in my eyes.'”

Sensing the feeling that they were probably going to leave, and turning away from the Dark Angel, the girl turned to the Dragon—reserving eye contact, and once again, gave a small bow and smiled. ”Thank you, it’s nice to hear…” Ciymal paused, silently awaiting the fill in with the creature’s name. Now that, that was done, she stood up to her full length and nodded politely toward the dragon.

"Would you and your minmin like to go for ride? I could drop you off at your home and impress I loved one or something."
She didn’t expect, or even dare to expect the guy’s next words, so if her jaw dropped open in sudden surprise—it was hidden rather well, and behind a cool attitude. Lifting eye another eyebrow at him, calculating; what home, was the first thought that appeared, and Ciymal shrugged. ”Tossed off that co.cky attitude of yours now?” Well, it was begging for her to say it, and she knew she’d probably enjoy any comebacks the male would have. Smirking, Ciymal turned to kneel down—to be on better eye length with Erasmus, and pointed her thumb at the dragon. ”Care for a ride?”

Erasmus, being very much the youngster, stretched out his wings and flew to the top of her head—before resting there, tail curled around the girl’s horns for better balance. Turning to face him, Ciymal nodded, ”Not exactly my type, but you’ll do.” And she laughed.

[And yes, that was a joke. xD Don’t ask me why I feel like I have to point it out.]
